Winkler Prins 1999 | Characters of the genus Euchondria with the following features: Shell outline remarkably retrocrescent; both auricles triangular, the posterior auricle ventrally narrowing and merging with the posterior margin of the disc; external ornament multicostate consisting of 13-17 thin, filiform primary costae and intercalating secondary and tertiary costae summing up to 45-55 costae in specimens of 10 mm shell height; interspaces broad, flat, covered with sharp, closely spaced growth lines; anterior auricle with 3-4 primary and 3-4 secondary costae, posterior auricle with 4-6 thin costae. |
