Cymatoceras hendersoni
Taxonomy
Nautilus hendersoni was named by Etheridge (1901). Its type specimen is GSQ F1400 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Flinders River near Maxwelton, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian marine horizon in the Allaru Mudstone Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Cymatoceras hendersoni by Glaessner (1958); it was considered a nomen nudum by Jell and Cook (2025).
