Taxonomy
Lima retifera was named by Shumard and Swallow (1858) [Shumard in Shumard & Swallow 1858]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Paleolima retifera by Elias (1958); it was recombined as Palaeolima retifera by Hoare et al. (1979).
