Diagnosis
| Reference | Diagnosis | |
|---|---|---|
| C.W. Wright and W.J. Kennedy 1990 | Early whorls vary from slightly compressed to as wide as high with flat and broadly parallel sides, only a slight ventrolateral facet and a wide flat venter; there are two to three branched or intercalated secondaries; at first all ribs bear distinct inner and outer ventrolateral and siphonal tubercles but the inner ventrolaterals may disappear rather early and the siphonals be absorbed in the transverse ventral ribs. The 25-30 ribs are rectiradiate to slightly prorsiradiate and slightly flexed. Gradually with growth, breadth of the whorl section increases in proportion to the height and the ribs become broader, flatter and sparser; on the body chamber they become narrower again and may be flared. Macroconchs have estimated diameters in excess of 200 mm. Complete microconchs have not yet been recognized. |
