Plesioturrilites was named as a genus. It is not extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Mariella (Wintonia) by Kennedy (2005); it was reranked as Mariella (Plesioturrilites) by Clark (1965) and Ceccolini and Cianferoni (2023).

It was assigned to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Mariella by Clark (1965) and Ceccolini and Cianferoni (2023).
