Taxonomy
Moremanoceras straini was named by Kennedy et al. (1988). Its type specimen is USNM 416051, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cerro de Muleros, which is in a Cenomanian marine grainstone in the Boquillas Formation of New Mexico.
