Qarunavus meyeri
Taxonomy
Qarunavus meyeri was named by Simons and Gingerich (1974). Its type specimen is BMNH M10189, a mandible (Left dentary dp2-4, m1-2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry A (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.
