Sonninia (Alaskoceras) alaskensis
Taxonomy
Sonninia (Alaskoceras) alaskensis was named by Westermann (1969). Its type specimen is McM J 1021, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Westermann WA10, Wide Bay (scree), which is in a Bajocian marine shale in the Kialagvik Formation of Alaska.
It was recombined as Sonninia (Alaskinia) alaskensis by Westermann (1978).
