Taxonomy
Docidoceras (Pseudocidoceras) widebayense was named by Westermann (1969). Its type specimen is USNM 160249, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic 21251, Wide Bay, which is in a Bajocian marine shale in the Kialagvik Formation of Alaska. It is the type species of Docidoceras (Pseudocidoceras).
