Docidoceras (Pseudocidoceras) camachoi was named by Westermann (1969). Its type specimen is USNM 160256, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic 19862, Wide Bay, which is in a Bajocian marine shale in the Kialagvik Formation of Alaska.
