Muiscasaurus catheti
Taxonomy
Muiscasaurus catheti was named by Maxwell et al. (2015). Its type specimen is CIP-FCG-CBP-74, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vereda Llanitos, which is in a Barremian/Aptian marine shale/limestone in the Paja Formation of Colombia. It is the type species of Muiscasaurus.
