Machimosaurus rex
Taxonomy
Machimosaurus rex was named by Fanti et al. (2016). Its type specimen is ONM NG NG 1-25, 80, 81, and 83-87, a partial skeleton (Partial skull and vertebrae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Touil el Mhahir (Douiret), which is in a Hauterivian/Barremian marginal marine sandstone/claystone in the Douiret Formation of Tunisia.
