squat Lockeia, several of which with one end more deeply impressed than the other, up to 7 mm long, and 4.5 mm wide. Characteristically preserved as convex hyporeliefs with an evenly rounded surface; a shallow carinal groove or crest, and a transverse process are rare. Typically isolated but may be arranged in curved series. Sectioned specimens reveal a massive burrow-fill (modified after Pollard 1981 ). |
