Loxomma allmanni
Taxonomy
Loxomma allmanni was named by Huxley (1862). Its type specimen is NMS G.1950.56.2, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Venturefair Pit, Gilmerton, which is in a Brigantian fluvial-lacustrine shale/limestone in the Gilmerton Ironstone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Loxomma.
