Cypraedia (Eucypraedia) multicarinata
Taxonomy
Ovula (Transovula) multicarinata was named by Dall (1890). Its type specimen is USNM 112450, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Martin Station [Crystal River Limestone], which is in an Eocene carbonate limestone in the Crystal River Limestone Formation of Florida.
It was recombined as Cypraedia multicarinata by Schilder (1927); it was recombined as Eucypraedia multicarinara by Schilder and Schilder (1971); it was recombined as Cypraedia (Eucypraedia) multicarinata by Dolin (1991).
