Taxonomy
Corynoides was named by Nicholson (1867) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara-l O Cara-u]. It is the type genus of Corynoididae.

It was assigned to Corynoididae by Bulman (1970); to Diplograptidae by Riva (1974); and to Graptoloidea by Sepkoski (2002).
