Taxonomy
Lasiograptus was named by Lapworth (1873) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara-l O Cara-m Sepkoski's reference number: 722]. It is the type genus of Lasiograptidae.

It was assigned to Graptoloidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Lasiograptidae by Lapworth (1880), Bulman (1970), Maletz (2014).
