Limaria (Limaria) orcutti

Taxonomy
Lima (Limaria) orcutti was named by Hertlein and Grant (1972). Its type specimen is LACMIP T-4509, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP loc. 305C, south of Tia Juana River, which is in a Piacenzian marine siliciclastic in the San Diego Formation of California.

It was recombined as Limaria (Limaria) orcutti by Moore (1987); it was recombined as Limaria orcutti by Squires (2012).
