Taxonomy
Tarrantoceras flexicostatum was named by Cobban (1988). Its type specimen is USNM 400773, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic D21850. Greybull, which is in a Cenomanian marine sandstone in the Cody Shale Formation of Wyoming.
