Dvorakia was named by Klapper and Barrick (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: S Prid D Eife-u Sepkoski's reference number: 314,800].

It was assigned to Belodellidae by Sweet (1988); and to Conodontophorida by Sepkoski (2002).
