Anchura biangulata was named by Anderson (1938). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 1346A, Hulen Creek, upper beds, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian marine sandstone in California.
It was recombined as Pseudanchura biangulata by Kaim et al. (2014).
