Taxonomy
Triton (Monocirsus) carinulatus was named by Cossmann (1889). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Calcaire grossier, Chaussy, Val d'Oise, which is in a Lutetian shallow subtidal sandstone in France.
It was recombined as Monocirsus carinulatus by Pacaud and Le Renard (1995).
