Taxonomy
Trilemma russiense was named by Blagovetshenskiy and Shumilkin (2006). Its type specimen is UKM, no. 432, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 432, 4 km southeast of the village of Novaya Beden’ga, which is in a Hauterivian carbonate claystone in the Russian Federation.
