Metastenodiscus zealandicus
Taxonomy
Stenodiscus zealandicus was named by Schäfer and Grant-Mackie (1994). Its type specimen is OU 17942a and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is JDC 1499, Otamita Stream (F45/f8825), which is in an Otamitan marine horizon in New Zealand. It is the type species of Metastenodiscus.
It was recombined as Metastenodiscus zealandicus by Ernst et al. (2016).
