Taxonomy
Rhaeboceras cedarense was named by Grier and Grier (1998). Its type specimen is AMNH 45412, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AMNH 3239, Cedar Creek, which is in a Maastrichtian marine shale in the Pierre Shale Formation of Montana.
