Aelurosaurus wilmanae
Taxonomy
Aelurosauroides wilmanae was named by Broom (1940). Its type specimen is MMK 4667, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is New Bethesda Commonage, which is in a Wuchiapingian/Changhsingian terrestrial horizon in the Balfour Formation of South Africa.
It was recombined as Aelurosauropsis wilmanae by Haughton and Brink (1954); it was recombined as Aelurosaurus wilmanae by Sigogneau-Russell (1989).
