It was recombined as Melania geslini by Deshayes (1862); it was recombined as Melania (Melanoides) geslini by Laville (1890); it was recombined as Faunus (Melanatria) geslini by Cossmann (1909); it was recombined as Melanatria geslini by Pacaud and Le Renard (1995); it was recombined as Jponsia geslini by Pacaud and Harzhauser (2012).
