Placenticeras maherndli
Taxonomy
Placenticeras maherndli was named by Summesberger (1979). Its type specimen is MA 77/2, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Finstergrabenwandl (Maherndl collection), which is in a Santonian shallow subtidal shale in the Hochmoos Formation of Austria.
