Taxonomy
Tongoboryceras hancocki was named by Kennedy (1984). Its type specimen is MNHN F.B17172, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Saujon, which is in a Coniacian/Coniacian carbonate grainstone in France.
