Taxonomy
Ammonites haplophyllus was named by Redtenbacher (1873).

It was recombined as Metatissotia haplophylla by Hyatt (1903); it was recombined as Tissotioides (Tissotioides) haplophyllus by Kennedy (1984), Kennedy (1995).

Synonyms
  • Buchiceras nardini was named by Fallot (1885). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dieulefit (Soulier collection), which is in a Coniacian marine sandstone in the Grès Verts de Dieulefit Formation of France.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Tissotioides (Tissotioides) haplophyllus by Kennedy (1984).
