Thecachampsa carolinensis

Taxonomy
Gavialosuchus carolinensis was named by Erickson and Sawyer (1996). Its type specimen is ChM PV 4279, a partial skeleton (Skull and skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Johns Island, which is in a Chattian terrestrial horizon in the Chandler Bridge Formation of South Carolina.

It was recombined as Thecachampsa carolinensis by Jouve (2016).
