Taxonomy
Pseudoschloenbachia casterasi was named by Collignon (1983). Its type specimen is UPST MB 12PR, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Les Pastressis (UPST collection, carezi subzone), which is in a Santonian carbonate marl in France.

It was recombined as Pseudoschloenbachia (Pseudoschloenbachia) casterasi by Kennedy (1995).
