Taxonomy
Eobeloceras anguisellatum was named by Chao (1956). It is the type species of Chaoceras.

It was recombined as Chaoceras anquisellatum by Yatskov (1990); it was recombined as Naplesites anguisellatus by Korn and Klug (2002).
