Taxonomy
Cypraea healeyi was named by Aldrich (1923). Its type specimen is USNM 135157, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Notoluponia healeyi by Dockery (1977); it was recombined as Sulcocypraea healeyi by MacNeil and Dockery (1984).

Dockery 1984Shell inflated, ovate; dorsum covered by a thin enamel; shell surface beneath enamel with faint, widely spaced spiral ridges; callus with spiral ridges that die out just beyond a mid-ventral line; ridges on outer lip not extending, or very weakly ex tending to the back side of apertural flare.
