Helvetisaurus picteti
Taxonomy
Helvetisaurus picteti was named by Hoffstetter (1942). Its type specimen is ML (Musee de Lausanne) pl. VIII figs 3-7 in Pictet 1855-57, a partial skull (lower jaw and a portion of cranial base), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mormont Entreroches, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial horizon in Switzerland.
