Romundina was named by Orvig (1975) [Sepkoski's age data: D Gedi-u Sepkoski's reference number: 521]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Palaeacanthaspidae by Denison (1978); and to Acanthothoraci by Sepkoski (2002).
