Taxonomy
Ictidosuchops baurioides was named by Broom (1940). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zuurplaats, Suurplaas, Graaff-Reinet (Dicynodon Assemblage Zone), which is in a Wuchiapingian/Changhsingian terrestrial horizon in South Africa.
