Taxonomy
Apodosauriscus minutus was named by Gauthier (1982). Its type specimen is UCMP 100125 (posterior half of left dentary) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Arapahovius Paleofaunule, which is in a Lysitean/Lostcabinian terrestrial horizon in the Wasatch Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Apodosauriscus.
