Taxonomy
Meridiceras celericrescens was named by Hillebrandt (2006). Its type specimen is TUB 841114/8/10, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quebrada Doña Inés Chica (sample 841114/8), which is in a Jamesoni/Ibex carbonate limestone in Chile.
