Taxonomy
Meridiceras densicostatum was named by Hillebrandt (2006). Its type specimen is TUB 711128/1/1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Puesto Araya (D. argentinicum horizon, section 711128/1), which is in an Ibex carbonate limestone in Argentina.
