Taxonomy
Pseudoskirroceras varisculptum was named by Hillebrandt (2006). Its type specimen is TUB 711211/4/1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quebrada Yerbas Buenas (sample 711211/4), which is in a Jamesoni/Ibex carbonate limestone in Chile.
