Taxonomy
Eoamaltheus intermissus was named by Hillebrandt (2006). Its type specimen is TUB 841204/4b/7, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Arroyo Blanco, 12 km N Puesto Araya (sample 841204/4b), which is in a Davoei carbonate limestone in Argentina.
