Taxonomy
Euechioceras nobile was named by Trueman and Williams (1925).

It was synonymized subjectively with Paltechioceras tardecrescens by Blau (1998) and Blau et al. (2000); it was recombined as Paltechioceras nobile by Edmunds et al. (2003).
