Taxonomy
Cypraea parahybensis was named by Maury (1930). It is a mold. Its type locality is Right bank of Rio Gramame (Sphenodiscus zone), which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate limestone in the Gramame Formation of Brazil.

It was recombined as Eocypraea (Eocypraea) parahybensis by Schilder (1941).
