Jenneria laeviappenninica was named by Sacco (1894). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cassinelle, which is in a Rupelian reef, buildup or bioherm sandstone/siltstone in Italy.
It was recombined as Pedicularia (Jenneria) laeviappenninica by Sacco (1894); it was recombined as Jenneria (Projenneria) laeviappenninica by Dolin (1997).
