Douvilleiceras spiniferum

Taxonomy
Ammonites spiniferus was named by Whiteaves (1876) [TYPE SPECIMEN: Based on lectotype.]. Its type specimen is GSC 5014b, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Skidegate Inlet, west of Alliford Bay, which is in an Albian marine sandstone in the Haida Formation of Canada.

It was recombined as Douvilleiceras spiniferum by McLearn (1972) and Futakami and Haggart (2016).
