Coprophis dakotaensis
Taxonomy
Coprophis dakotaensis was named by Parris and Holman (1978). Its type specimen is PU 20732A (trunk vertebra) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coprophis type locality (Lower Nodular Zone), which is in an Orellan terrestrial horizon in the Brule Formation of South Dakota.
