Metaperrinites cumminsi

Taxonomy
Ptychites cumminsi was named by White (1889). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Old Military Crossing, Whiskey Creek, Wichita River, which is in an Artinskian coastal siliciclastic in the Clyde Formation of Texas.

It was recombined as Waagenoceras cumminsi by White (1891) and Smith (1903); it was recombined as Perrinites cumminsi by Plummer and Scott (1937); it was recombined as Properrinites cumminsi by Cooper and Grant (1977) and Tharalson (1984); it was recombined as Metaperrinites cumminsi by Leonova (2002).
