Tinosaurus pristinus
Taxonomy
Chamaeleo pristinus was named by Leidy (1872). It is extant. Its type specimen is Philadelphia Acad. Sci. cat. no. 9134 (median portion of right dentary with eight teeth). Its type locality is Tinosaurus pristinus type locality, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.
It was recombined as Tinosaurus pristinus by Gilmore (1928) and Hay (1930).
