Taxonomy
Ataxioceras (Ataxioceras) lopeztichae was named by Cantu-Chapa (1991). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tlaxiaco, which is in a Kimmeridgian marine horizon in Mexico.

It was recombined as Schneidia lopeztichai by Moliner et al. (2016).
